As particles and chemicals accumulate on protective gear, its effectiveness gradually decreases — putting firefighters and the people they come in contact with at risk. Contaminated gear reflects less radiant heat, becomes flammable, and can even conduct electricity.

Continental Girbau’s Express Dry Gear Dryers, equipped with touchscreen controls, safely and efficiently dry up to 8 sets of turnout gear and accessories using ambient air. Express Dry units align with gear manufacturer drying requirements and comply with NFPA 1851 recommendations.

Target Hard-to-Dry Areas

The patented ExpressDry design uses powerful fans that push air through gear from the inside out — effectively drying vapor barriers and hard-to-reach areas prone to mold and mildew. The system’s unique airflow design minimizes air loss and prevents air from taking the path of least resistance, resulting in faster, more efficient drying and the ability to dry more suits in less time.

Flexibility for All Gear Components

ExpressDry XD Gear Dryers include up to 8 helmet dryers and up to 24 component ports for drying accessories such as helmets, gloves, boots, face masks, and SCBAs.

Touchscreen Control with Ambient Air Drying

The touchscreen control provides a clear, intuitive interface showing drying status and remaining time. Users can select preset dry times (including continuous drying) or choose a custom timer based on departmental needs. The smooth, durable flat screen is also easy to clean.

Important: Inspect Before you Sign

Due to shipment size, internal damage may occur even when packaging looks intact. ALL items must be fully inspected before signing the delivery receipt.

Inspection Requirements:

• Open all packaging and inspect every side of all items.
• You have 30 minutes to inspect before additional charges may apply.
• If the driver refuses a full inspection, do not sign. Request the local freight terminal manager and have the shipment marked as "damaged" due to inspection not being allowed or refuse the shipment entirely.

Signing the Delivery Receipt

• If the contents are in good condition: sign and date the receipt.
• If ANY damage is found:

  • Clearly write “DAMAGED” on the receipt

  • Include detailed notes of the damage

  • Sign and date

Accept undamaged items and refuse only damaged packages. Keep a copy of the receipt.

Contact us for assistance before the driver leaves. If the shipment is damaged but the receipt is signed without notation, the right to a freight claim may be void.
The factory cannot pay for freight company damages.
